At Dinnington High School we know that Physics is a way of building knowledge about the universe constructing new ideas that illuminate the world around us.

In Physics our students are asked to reflect upon their projects to ensure that they are familiar with analyzing data and creating ways of representing information. Our dedicated team of Physics teachers are constantly testing themselves to develop new techniques to teach Physics to ensure that it is brought to life in the classroom. Our Physics department acknowledge the importance of talking a scientific language and ensure that our students are skilled in the use of the language of Physics.

Our students are given opportunities to create, present and discuss their ideas, skills and knowledge in class to ensure that this level of communication is embedded in their learning. In Physics, our students are able to develop their own hypothesis, plan and conduct experiments and this requires them to be able to manage a project and meet deadlines; all essential skills for their future. In short the dedication from staff means that our students develop much more than simply science.
