Dear Parents/Carers and other visitors to our website
Thank you for popping by. We remain closed to most students as a school except for the children of key workers, Y12 and from 22nd June, Y10, who are all beginning their phased partial returns. However, we are very much open for learning in the virtual world and have added some live Teams lessons, reviews and tutor times to our on-line learning opportunities.
If you are not a current parent or carer but are keen to find out more and/or you are interested in your child starting at Dinnington, then please have a look around our website. Our prospectuses are at the bottom of this page. You can also email email@example.com or call 01909 550066 and one of us will get back to you. If you are looking for a job, our vacancies are at the bottom of this page too.
Huge thanks to all our parents and carers supporting our wonderful students with their home schooling. We have seen a phenomenal amount of work being done at home; staff have been so proud, and we have been giving out lots of excellence points, golden tickets and prizes every week.
For students with no IT access at all, we have sent paper work home. For everyone else, even if you only have a smartphone, you can link through Show My Homework. Lots of students have been doing their actual work on paper and sending photographs of it to their teachers.
We have also seen lots of brilliant #unschool activities. Lockdown gives a tremendous opportunity for students to learn new things: mowing, ironing, DIY, cleaning, cooking and baking are just some as well as students doing their own on-line courses in things such as British sign language.
Our weekly e-newsletter celebrates the wonder of what students are achieving – back issues can be found here. Facebook and Twitter are regularly updated with what our students have been up to at home too.
At our heart is The Dinnington Way: Kindness, Respect, Excellence. We are thrilled that in lockdown our students have kept these values alive and well at home.
