Media is an amazing course for students wishing to develop a range of creative media and communication skills. In this subject area students are able to live out and test the life of a movie director, magazine producer or music video mogul.

This is an exciting subject where students produce a media product from a brief. You are also required to present your research planning and evaluation of your media product in a digital format (blog). Key Media Concepts (TV Drama) is an examination unit (worth 50% of AS grade), which covers the two areas of Textual Analysis and Representation alongside Institutions and Audiences.

We expect that Media students will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of media language, how media presents events and issues and the media industry. At Dinnington High School our Media students will develop their analysis skills and be able to apply knowledge they have gained to allow them to develop their own productions.
