Engage is our department for students who need additional support

The area is led by Mrs Humphreys, our SENCo, and has a dedicated team of support staff.

We assess students in a range of ways through their school careers to identify if they need support in lessons or in exams.

Our support covers:

• in-lesson support
• literacy and numeracy interventions
• social and emotional support, including for bereavement
• help for students with specific needs such as ADHD, ASC or dyslexia

The Engage team work very closely with our Achieve – Pastoral team to ensure we support the whole child.

Engage staff also work closely with our Segrave resource base for students with significant social, emotional and mental health challenges: Segrave Inclusion Resource Base – Dinnington High School
